Sometimes you want the direct link that a Google search result is point to, this tool really does the trick. Paste a URL to extract the actual link from the Google search engine link.

Google Doc Keyboard Shortcuts
Among the many shortcuts specific to Google Docs, these are a few that I tend to use over and again.

Insert or edit link                 Ctrl + K
Open link                            Alt + Enter
Word count                         Ctrl + Shift + C
Center align                        Ctrl + Shift + E
Bulleted list                         Ctrl + Shift + 8
Move paragraph up/down     Alt + Shift + Up/down arrow
Insert comment                   Ctrl + Alt + M

How to Add Video to a PowerPoint Presentation - YouTube
You may want to add video to a PowerPoint presentation which is easy enough but you might also want to make adjustments such as to the volume, trimming the video, adding bookmarks or getting it to loop.

The Time Elapsed Analysis & Reporting System (T.E.A.R.S.) is a Microsoft Excel add-in that automatically calculates the total amount of time that you have spent in different aspects of your work. After exporting your calendar data from Microsoft Outlook to Excel, this add-in extracts elapsed time, sums up the number of hours in each category, and then produces both a table and a chart. If you ever wondered where your time goes, you will want to use T.E.A.R.S. to learn more.

Google Trick: Site:
Get results from certain sites or domains. So, if you want to quickly find the Ethical Standards and other pages related to ethics on the ASCA webpage, put the following into Google search:
site:schoolcounselor.org ethics. Click here to see for yourself.

Bonus: Play Atari Breakout by searching it on Google Images.

Also, this one lets Google flip a coin for you when you don’t have one on hand, good one for doing classroom activities: Search for “flip a coin” or “heads or tails.”
